Senior Partners: Adding an extra layer of protection

Recently the AJC ran a special series:

Unprotected: Broken promises in Georgia’s senior care industry.

Like many of you, we were appalled at what their yearlong digging into our senior care industry revealed about the gaps in care and vulnerabilities that our older adults face.

We were appalled but not really shocked.

The care that personal care homes, assisted living communities, and nursing homes provide is intense, demanding, and unrelenting. The care providers are overworked, under-trained, and poorly compensated.  The care receivers are overlooked, disregarded, and often undervalued in our society.

Many of our clients reside in personal care homes and assisted living communities.

Most of our work is done alongside our clients, with meetings occurring in their “homes,” or rooms in the senior care community.  These weekly or monthly meetings give us exposure to the quality of care being provided to our clients.

Often, our regular presence signals to the staff that this resident, our client, is cared about and that his or her care and condition are being monitored.

Having a consistent advocate that is involved and noticed by the personal care home or assisted living community staff provides an extra layer of protection.  We all behave better when we know we’re being watched. Senior care staff are no difference.

An extra benefit of having a Senior Partner is the trained eyes and ears regularly supervising our client’s care.

The daily money mangers at Senior Partners act as advocates when necessary. We primarily work with our clients to provide bill paying and paperwork management, but we do not turn a blind eye to their other needs.  We empower our clients with knowledge about what is expected of their care providers and connect them with necessary resources to ensure they are getting the best care possible.

Senior Partners are an extra layer of protection for our clients.

Senior Partners is committed to helping each of our clients age with dignity and quality care. To learn more about our services, please contact Senior Partners at (678) 278-8410 or schedule your free consultation here.
